Laempe Mössner Sinto wins first major order for automation outside the foundry industry

Barleben/Meitzendorf, June 2025 - Laempe Mössner Sinto GmbH has reached a significant milestone in its development: the company, which has been known as a leading provider of core production technology and automation solutions in the foundry industry for more than 45 years, has now successfully won its first major order outside of this segment. Windgeneratorfertigung Magdeburg GmbH, the production company of wind turbine manufacturer Enercon, has commissioned Laempe with an automation solution for generator production. The solution was largely developed by a renowned research service provider and system and technology partner for the industry from Magdeburg and is being implemented by Laempe.

Laempe has extensive expertise in automation - particularly in areas such as the interlinking of machines, complex assembly lines, modular assembly cells and sophisticated handling and feeding systems. With around 80 automation experts, the company is already one of the leading automation specialists in Germany. Laempe is now making targeted use of this expertise to open up new business areas and win customers outside the foundry industry.

Strong regional partnership for innovative production technologies

Windgeneratorfertigung Magdeburg GmbH is increasingly focusing on automation as part of its growth strategy and is investing heavily in the Magdeburg site. As part of this development, Laempe was commissioned to automate the insertion of magnets into rotors - a critical process step in the production of wind generators. The collaboration between research, automation experts (Laempe Mössner Sinto) and users (Enercon) is an impressive example of how technological innovations can be driven forward through regional cooperation.

Delivery of the automation solution is scheduled for May 2026 and acceptance for July 2026. According to André Klimm, Managing Director of Laempe Mössner Sinto, the order from Enercon is an important milestone: "This first success outside the foundry sector shows that our automation expertise is in demand across all industries. The close cooperation with Enercon and the research institute is the starting signal for a highly innovative project. We look forward to a long-term partnership."

With this step, Laempe Mössner Sinto is setting the course for a future-oriented positioning as a leading provider of automation and image processing solutions in new industrial sectors. The focus is also on projects in currently planned or newly launched Europe-wide investment programs, for example.
