Guest article in the German foundry magazine GIESSEREI: "Big Data meets foundry"

In the February issue (2/2019) of the trade magazine GIESSEREI, a guest contribution by Laempe's managing director Rudolf Wintgens and Julian Feinauer, founder and managing director of pragmatic industries, was published. In the February issue (2/2019) of the trade magazine GIESSEREI, a guest contribution by Laempe's managing director Rudolf Wintgens and Julian Feinauer, founder and managing director of pragmatic industries, was published. Both experts address the possibilities of digitization in the foundry sector. For example, consistent data analysis can help to optimize established industrial processes. This concerns, for example, the OEE, the so-called overall equipment effectiveness.

"A permanent analysis of the plant data can help to permanently calculate the OEE and break it down to parameters like quality, performance and availability. This makes it possible to quickly find out what has changed and in which direction the analysis is to be deepened. Specifically, this means that digitalization makes it comprehensible who changed what, when, and what the consequences were," explain Rudolf Wintgens and Julian Feinauer in the guest article.
