Laempe expands its market position and takes over Lüber’s core-shooting machine business

Barleben/Bazenheid (CH), 4 May 2026 – Laempe Mössner Sinto GmbH is strengthening its position in the global market for core production technology: As part of the strategic partnership with Lüber GmbH already communicated, Laempe will take over continuation of the business relating to Lüber core-shooting machines effective 1 July 2026. The aim of the next development stage of the partnership is to market new systems and to safeguard the existing installed base over the long term, further develop it technologically, and offer customers a stable outlook.

Lüber is regarded as an established supplier of core-shooting machines and has a significant installed base, particularly in German-speaking countries. The machines are used in numerous foundries and stand for robust, proven technology in industrial core production.

With the integration of the business, this installed base will in future be incorporated into Laempe’s internationally positioned organisation and service structure. Laempe will contribute its global presence, engineering expertise and increasingly strategically aligned after-sales structures.

Clear structure for customers and business

Continuity will be maintained for existing customers: systems within the warranty period will continue to be supported by Lüber. From 1 July 2026, Laempe will take over the after-sales business (service and spare parts) for Lüber core-shooting machines after the warranty period. Laempe will also assume sales, service and construction of new Lüber systems and will further develop the core-shooting machines as required based on the existing concepts. As an active partner, Lüber will support Laempe with service, construction and sales of the core-shooting machines. The cooperation focuses exclusively on the core-shooting machine business. Other products and services of Lüber remain unaffected by the agreement.

“With Laempe, we have found a partner that brings the necessary technological depth and international set-up to sustainably continue the business around our core-shooting machines. It was important to us to find a solution that offers a long-term perspective for our customers as well as for our products,” says Wilhelm Bovens, Managing Director of Lüber GmbH.

André Klimm, Managing Director of Laempe Mössner Sinto GmbH, adds:
“The integration of the Lüber core-shooting machine business is a consistent step for us to further expand our position in the market. At the same time, we are strategically developing Laempe further—towards a technology-open full-service provider in core production that intelligently combines classic and new processes.”

Strategic expansion towards a technology-open full-service provider

The further development of the partnership is part of Laempe’s overarching strategic direction: the company is increasingly evolving into a technology-open full-service provider across the entire value chain of core production.

In addition to classic core-shooting machines, the portfolio today also includes:

  • Additive core production based on the company’s own 3D printing technology

  • Hybrid production approaches in which printed cores are delivered directly to customers as an industrial solution

  • Service, retrofit and after-sales services across the entire system lifecycle

  • as well as automation and machine vision solutions within and outside the foundry industry.

In this way, Laempe is responding to changing requirements in the foundry industry, where flexibility, automation and new manufacturing processes are becoming increasingly important.
